Aloe rupicola Reynolds (1960)

DESCRIPTION: simple or branched at base, stem erect to 3-5 m high, 10 cm thick. leaves ca 40, 40-50x6 cm, green, obscurely lineate, reddish teeth 4-5 mm long, 10 mm apart. Cylindrical racemes 15x8 cm, flowers orange-scarlet.
DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Bie Distr., ca 5 km south of Chinguar.
CULTIVATION: Similar to A. volkensii, not common.
