DESCRIPTION: suckering at base do form dense clumps with erect stem max 2 m long and 8 cm thick. Leaves ca 20, densely rosulate, up to 100x9,6 cm, bright glossy green, sometimes with brown tipped teeth, 1,5 mm long and 6-10 mm apart. Inflorescence to 60 cm tall, erect, with 2-3 branches. Racemes cylindrical, 5-18x7-8 cm, densely flowered. Perianth red in bud, creamy-white with green mid-stripe, 22 mm long. Fruit a berry 10-12 mm in diameter.
DISTRIBUTION: Tanzania (Misali Island, Pemba), growing in coastal forest
CULTIVATION: Similar to Aloe aldabrensis but differs in its suckering habit, longer inflorescence and flower colour.
