Aloe micracantha Haworth (1819)

DESCRIPTION: solitary, leaves 30-50x2-4 cm , deep green, chanelled on the upper sufrace, teeth about 2 mm long. Inflorescence simple ca 40-50 cm tall, raceme densely flowered and capitate ca 8x9 cm, flowers salmon pink, 25-40 mm long.
DISTRIBUTION: Eastern Cape RSA (Uniondale to Grahamstown)
CULTIVATION: Similar to rest grass like Aloes.
