Aloe medishiana Reynolds and Bally (1958)

DESCRIPTION: Plant solitary, simple or branching at the base, stem erect up to 2 m high, 3 cm thick. Leaves ca 24, crowded along the apical 20 cm of stem. Epidermis green grey, leaves 20-30x2 cm, teeth white. Inflorescence 50 cm tall with 6-12 branches. Racemes cylindrical, 8-10x5 cm, subdensely flowered. Pedicel 9 mm long, perianth dull scarlet.
DISTRIBUTION: Somaliland, east from Erigavo
CULTIVATION: similar to A. gracilicaulis, which hsa longer stem, longer and wider leaves and yellow flowers with much shorter pedicel.
