DESCRIPTION: solitary, stem erect to 4-6 m, leaves 100-150 cmx25 cm dull grey green, , princles 3 mm long, teeth 6 mm long, 10-20 mm apart. Inflorescence 80 cm long, erect, 10-30 branches, racemes horizontal, flowers yellow, orange or red.
DISTRIBUTION: Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland.
CULTIVATION: common.
