Aloe harlana Reynolds (1957)

DESCRIPTION: usually stemless, solitary, sometimes forming small groups. Leaves up 50x15 cm, semiglossy dark green, sometimes with +- white spots, reddish brown teeth 3-4 mm long, 10-15 mm apart. Inflorescence 70-90 cm tall, up to 7 branches, racemes +- subcapitate to conical, 10-20 cm long, flowers wine red OR bright yellow. DISTRIBUTION: Ethiopia, ca 15 km S of Dire Dawa.
CULTIVATION: easy to grow, similar to A. monticola.
