Aloe aristata Haw. (1825)

DESCRIPTION: stemless, suckering, leaves 100-150, 5-10x1-2 cm green to grey green, often tuberculate. White teeth 1-2 mm long, 1-2 mm apart. Subcapitate racemes, orange red flowers.
Synonymy: Aloe longiaristata Schult. & Schult.f. 1829, Aloe aristata var. leiophylla Baker 1880, Aloe aristata var. parvifolia Baker 1896, Aloe ellenbergeri Guillaumin 1934.
DISTRIBUTION: Lesotho, South Africa (Northern Cape, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal).
CULTIVATION: Easy to grow, tolerate to cold (0 C)
