Aloe arborescens Mill. (1768)

DESCRIPTION: multibranched with stem to 3 m high and 30 cm thick at the base. Leaves triangular (30)50-60x5-7 cm, dull green to grey green, firm teeth 3-5 mm long, 5-20 mm apart. Inflorescence 60-80 cm tall, simple, conical raceme 20x10 cm. Flowers scarlet.

DISTRIBUTION: RSA, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique
CULTIVATION: large shrub widespread in greenhouses and gardens, very easy to grow.
