Aloe acutissima Perrier (1926)

DESCRIPTION: branching from base, stems to 100 cm long, 2-3 cm thick. Leaves ca. 20, persistent 20-30 cm below, lanceolate, 30x4, green. Brown teeth are 3 mm long, 10 mm apart. Inflorescence 50 cm, 2-3 branches. Cylindrical acuminate racemes 10-15x6 cm. Very variable taxon.
var. antanimorensis - dwarf variety has stem to 15-20 cm and inflorescence to 20-25 cm long,
var. itampolensis - very variable taxon, leaves are blue turquoise to brown, distribution on Mahafaly plateau
var. isaloana grows south of Isalo range and it si bigger than typus. It is close to var. berevoana
var. fiherenensis - smaller size than typus and green leaves. Grow on hills along Fiherenana river.
DISTRIBUTION: Madagascar (Fianarantsoa prov.)
CULTIVATION: Not common, but easy growing.
